RooMeet helps verified college students build roommate profiles, compare living preferences, match mutually, and message one another. This policy explains the information we handle and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect account identifiers from Apple or our web sign-in provider; your verified school email; profile details you choose to provide; roommate preferences and interview answers; photos; likes, matches, messages, reports, blocks, notification tokens, and basic service logs.

How we use information

We use information to verify school eligibility, operate matching and messaging, generate and refine profiles with AI, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and maintain service security. We do not sell personal information or use private roommate conversations for advertising.

AI processing

When you use a copilot, the text needed for that interaction may be sent to an AI service provider to generate a response. RooMeet limits the context sent to what is needed for the feature and stores your confirmed profile and preference data in RooMeet.

Sharing and service providers

Profile information is shown only to eligible students in your school community. Contact details are revealed only after a mutual match. We use infrastructure, email delivery, AI, authentication, and notification providers to operate RooMeet. They process data for us under their service terms.

Safety and school administrators

Authorized RooMeet and school administrators may review reports and relevant account information to investigate safety issues. Blocking immediately removes members from one another’s discovery, matches, photos, and messages.

Retention and deletion

We keep information while your account is active and as needed for safety, legal, and operational obligations. You can delete your account in Settings. Deletion removes your profile, photos, preferences, likes, matches, messages, sessions, notification tokens, and account record from active systems.

Your choices

You can edit profile information, disable notifications in iOS Settings, block or report a member, sign out, and delete your account in the app. You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion.

Age and eligibility

RooMeet is for participating college communities and requires users to be at least 16. It is not directed to children under 13.

Security and contact

We use access controls, expiring sessions, scoped storage, and encryption in transit. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@roomeet.app.
