RooMeet legal

Terms of Use

By creating or using a RooMeet account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16, belong to a participating college community, provide accurate information, and keep your account secure. One person may not impersonate another or create an account for someone else.

Respectful use

Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, defraud, or share sexual or violent content with other members. Do not solicit money, scrape member information, send spam, or use RooMeet for housing discrimination or any unlawful purpose.

Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give RooMeet a limited license to host, process, display, and adapt that content only as needed to operate and improve the service. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload.

AI and matching

AI-generated questions, summaries, and compatibility reasons are aids, not guarantees. RooMeet does not perform background checks, guarantee roommate compatibility, make housing assignments, or replace your school’s housing process. Use your own judgment and follow school policies.

Safety enforcement

Members can report and block others. RooMeet may filter content, review reports, restrict features, suspend or remove accounts, preserve evidence where legally required, and contact a participating school or emergency service when needed to address credible safety risks.

Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account in Settings. RooMeet may suspend or terminate access for violating these Terms, creating risk, or when a school’s participation ends.

Service availability

RooMeet may change, interrupt, or discontinue features. The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. RooMeet is not liable for the conduct of members or for indirect or consequential loss.
